Evictions are governed by Chapter 83 of Florida’s Residential Landlord and Tenant Act. The first step in an eviction proceeding is for the landlord to post a three-day Notice on tenant’s door. The tenant has three business days to pay the past due rent or vacate the property. If the tenant fails to pay the past due rent and remains on the property after the three days expire, our law firm will file a Complaint for Eviction and serve the tenant with a copy of the Complaint and Summons. The tenant has five business days to file an Answer with the Court. At Dieppa Legal we have helped many landlords with their eviction and tenant problems.
